Our Story

Picture of Our Story

Our story started when we were just a couple of 17-year-old high school students. Meeting was improbable, as we lived in different cities, approximately 40 minutes away from each other. However, God had a plan for us, and brought us together at the army recruiting station where we both visited to enlist during our junior year in high school. Our relationship came to an end shortly before we left for basic training, as we understood that we had to leave and go our separate ways. After a few months of training, we reconnected on Facebook to congratulate each other on our graduation; at that point, it was evident to both of us that we wanted to be in each other’s lives and figured out how to make things work. We carried on with a long-distance relationship for almost 2 years, at which point we briefly reunited right before Ariel received orders to be stationed in Germany. We were heartbroken when we realized that we would have to continue with our long-distance relationship, but our love for each other was stronger than the distance between us, and what we thought was an obstacle, turned out to be a great blessing in our lives. After Ariel had been in Germany for a few months, I had the opportunity to visit her. During my visit, Ariel and I went to Paris for a few days, where I proposed to her during a beautiful light show in front of the Eiffel Tower. As my visit was coming to an end, we decided that we did not want to be apart anymore, and we decided to get married before I left. I had to return to the United States right away after we got married while we prepared the paperwork I needed to move to Germany, and unfortunately, we did not have the opportunity to have a wedding and celebrate our marriage. After eight beautiful years of marriage, we are thrilled to celebrate our special day with our closest friends and family, and we sincerely hope to see you there.
